According to a letter sent out by the district, one middle school student has tested positive for COVID-19.

With assistance by the health department through contact tracing, all students and staff had close contact with the student — an estimated 13 people in the district — are being asked to quarantine.
This information was obtained with assistance by the health department through contact tracing.
In addition, an Owensville Elementary School student and an additional seven middle school students were asked to quarantine due to possible exposure outside of the school environment.
All students and staff who had direct contact with this student have been contacted by either the district or health department.
Symptoms of COVID-19 include cough, shortness of breath, new loss of taste or smell, fever, chills, headache, muscle ache, sore throat, congestion, nausea and diarrhea.
The district requests that children exhibiting any of these symptoms be kept at home and that the parents notify the school and contact their personal health provider.
