Opal Blanche Pollock, 98, Owensville, passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2019, at her residence.

She was born Dec. 1, 1920, to Edward and Salena (Hollmann) Becker ,at Red Lion, Col.

She was united in marriage to Bernard Pollock, June 11, 1942, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Owensville.

Opal was a member of Owensville Garden Club and St. Peter’s United Church of Christ in Owensville where she had sung in the choir and belonged to the Dorcas Club.

She was preceded in death by parents, Edward and Salena; husband, Bernard; daughter, Sharon Decker; grandson, Jon Decker; brothers, Owen, Homer, Howard, Perry and Dennis Becker; and sisters, Gladys Sutton, Hazel Bair, and Joyce Rose.

She is survived by daughters, Gail Gutierrez of Owensville and Cynthia Pollock of Union, Ken.; son-in-law, Darrell Decker of Owensville; sister, Audrey Wallner of Eureka; grandchildren, Lori Decker of Wentzville, Jamie Decker and wife Amy of Owensville, and Stacy Prestridge and husband James of Stevenson Ranch, Calif.; great-grandchildren, Erin Kliethermes and husband Jordan of Whiteman Air Force Base, Anna Massey and fiancé Ray Page of Columbia, Logan Decker and Brendan Decker, both of Owensville, Sam Lowder and wife Ashley of Sullivan, Aiden and Avery Prestridge of Stevenson Ranch, Calif.; and six great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Friday, June 14, at Gottenstroeter Chapel in Owensville with Rev. Stephanie DeLong officiating. Burial was in City Cemetery in Owensville.
