Two Owensville Police Department vehicles collided on Wednesday around 6:40 p.m. causing an unknown amount of damage to city vehicles.
Scott Griffith, interim police chief, said the incident involved two officers.
A 2018 Ford Explorer operated by patrolman Paul Baldwin and a 2023 Chevy Tahoe operated by patrolman Connor Pritchett were responding to a medical emergency. The vehicles collided with the front end of the Tahoe striking the rear driver’s side of the Ford at the intersection of South Seventh Street and West Franklin Avenue.
“There were no injuries to the officers,” Griffith said. “We are unsure of the damage at this time. The vehicles are being assessed by the insurance company for repairs.”
Missouri State Highway Patrol was notified to investigate the crash and complete an accident report. Gasconade County Sheriff’s Department was dispatched to the medical emergency.
