The Owensville City Hall is temporarily closed for indoor business due to an employee testing positive for COVID-19, according to a Facebook post by the City of Owensville on Thursday.

The City Hall will remain closed so that the City "may conduct a thorough cleaning of the building and minimize the risk to the public," the 5 p.m. post said.

Customers needing to make utility payments should use the drop box.

Calls will be returned when the building reopens, the city assures.

In addition, the utility due date will be extended through Sunday, Sept. 20.

"We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding during these unprecedented times," the post said.
