Throughout the day this coming Saturday, the above headline will apply to the parking lot between Owensville High School and OHS Field.
That is because there will be a 10-team eighth-grade volleyball tournament in addition to a four-team high school baseball jamboree going on simultaneously throughout the day.
Tournament volleyball action will begin with pool play at 8 a.m., running continuously throughout the morning and early afternoon until approximately 3:30 p.m., when bracket play starts. See page nine for more details on the annual Owensville 8th Grade Volleyball Tournament.
Jamboree baseball will feature the host Dutchmen competing against Hermann’s Bearcats, Belle’s Tigers and Cuba’s Wildcats.
Action will start late in the morning at 11 a.m., with a Gasconade County and Highway 19 showdown between the Dutchmen and Bearcats followed at 11:45 a.m., by Hermann taking on Belle.
A Gasconade Valley Conference (GVC) showdown will kick off the afternoon portion of the jamboree at 12:30 p.m., with Belle facing Cuba.
Hermann will play Cuba at 1:15 p.m., followed by Belle and OHS in a Highway 28 clash at 2 p.m.
Jamboree action will conclude with another Highway 19 showdown at 2:45 p.m., between the Dutchmen and Wildcats.
