The new bus lane in front of Gerald Elementary School is inching closer to completion. This week, a crew from James Custom Flatwork began the process of pouring concrete from Wieberg Red-E-Mix into the prepared forms. Owner Cody James says that if the weather cooperates, all the concrete work could be completed by the end of January. The new driveway will allow busses to avoid the busy parking lot while picking up and dropping off students. The Gasconade County R-2 District is also adding a new entrance at the southern end of the parking lot. This will allow parents to access the parking lot from Lincoln Avenue when picking up or dropping off their child. It will also increase available parking.
