Publisher replies to invite from ‘Climate Alarmist’

I am sorry, Gary, but I will not be able to attend the “Solutions to Climate Change” seminar on Tuesday, Sept. 20. I am regularly at the office until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesdays.

I am aware that some of my readers will disagree with points I bring up in my columns, so I am conscientious about researching and verifying everything in them.

In your letter attacking me, you wrote, “I’m not sure of where Mr. Warden gets his information.”

I assume you read my column on Aug. 10. But just to refresh your memory, that column stated where I got my information. It included data from NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration), the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Forest Service, along with a YouTube video by Tony Heller.

I do not make things up. I simply offered data others do not want you to be aware of concerning the environment. Also, I have never denied that the climate is changing. I don’t buy into the claims that the world will end.

I noticed that you did not attack the facts or quotes in my column.

Here are some details I left out. According to the National Interagency Fire Center, over 50 million acres were burnt in forest fires in both 1930 and 1931. From 1928 to 1934, the acreage burnt never fell below 40 million acres.

In 2020 the acres burnt in U.S. forest fires was 10.1 million acres — one-fifth of 1930.

Please allow me to question those that relate wild fires to man-made global warming.

Next, you claimed that “the science is undisputed regarding global warming.”

That statement is inaccurate, made by “climate alarmists” to stop debate on the subject. It can be refuted  by anyone with a simple search on “Google.”

You may not know this, but my columns are also on our website. If you look there, you will find links showing where I acquire all my information for each of my columns — including this response.
