Quincy Edward Crider, 84, Bland, passed away Sunday, Nov. 22, 2020, at St. Clare Mercy Hospital in Fenton.
He was born March 23, 1936, to Edward and Ollie (Terrill) Crider, in Gasconade County.
He was united in marriage to Donna Lenore Dozier, June 8, 1957.
Quincy attended the Cleavesville school and was a Bland High School graduate. He attended four years at the University of Missouri and four years at the University of Illinois in urban Champaign, earning a PhD in Biochemistry. He worked at McDonnell Douglas before starting Sigma Chemical Company where he was head of research and development. He later owned and operated Sure Tech Diagnostics.
He was preceded in death by parents, Edward and Ollie; and siblings, Margarette, Jerry and Doris Crider.
He is survived by son, Steve Crider and wife Doreen of Ft. Smith, Ark.; daughter, Carna Guyer and husband Steve of St. Louis; and six grandchildren.
Graveside services were held Friday, Nov. 27, at Crider Cemetery near Bland. Memorial contributions suggested to Crider Cemetery.
