Cross country runners from around the area will invade the Gasconade County R-2 campus next Tuesday during the annual Owensville Cross Country Invitational.
Racing will begin at 4 p.m., with the middle school girls followed at 4:20 p.m., by the middle school boys.
Medals will go to the top 10 finishers in each of those races.
Beginning the high school portion of racing at 4:40 p.m., will be the junior varsity boys followed by the varsity girls at 5:10 p.m., with the final race of the meet seeing the varsity boys take to the course at approximately 5:40 p.m.
Medals will go to the top 15 finishers in both boys races while the top 25 finishers will earn medals in the varsity girls race.
There will be a limit of seven runners per school in the varsity boys race. In the other races, schools may have an unlimited number of athletes competing.
Schools scheduled to compete in the middle school races alongside the host Dutchmen and Dutchgirls include Bland’s Bears, Bourbon’s Warhawks, Chamois’ Pirates, Cuba’s Wildcats, Fatima’s Comets, Hermann’s Bearcats, New Haven’s Shamrocks, Pacific’s Indians, Rolla’s Bulldogs, St. Clair’s Bulldogs, St. James’s Tigers, Steelville’s Cardinals, Sullivan’s Eagles and Union’s Wildcats.
High school teams scheduled to compete on the R-2 campus along with the host Dutchmen and Dutchgirls include Bourbon, Chamois, Cuba, Fatima, Hermann, Lighthouse Preparatory Academy, New Haven, Pacific, Rolla, South Callaway’s Bulldogs, St. Clair, St. James, Steelville, Stoutland’s Tigers, Sullivan and Union.
