Belle Marshal Joe Turnbough and Kurt Seba, a bail bondsman located in Belle with affiliations in Rolla, gave away 10 Thanksgiving dinners Monday after pulling people over on “traffic stops.”

Seba said he and Turnbough purchased the meals to give away.

“We love it,” Seba said. “We enjoy seeing the smiling faces.”

Turnbough said last year was the first year they gave out Thanksgiving meals.

“We always do Christmas meals,” Turnbough said. “But this felt like something we needed to do too. We are so fortunate and very lucky to live in a small community where we get together to help each other out. It is a small town heritage that we are glad to be part of.”

Seba and Turnbough requested people call or message them on Facebook if they knew someone in need. At least two vehicles they pulled over were names given to the marshal.

“We wish we would have brought more food last time,” Seba said.

The dinners included a turkey, stuffing, instant potatoes, rolls, green beans and a tray.
