Raymond Arthur Meyer, 82, of Leslie, passed away Thursday, Oct. 17, 2024, at Stonebridge of Owensville.
He was born July 3, 1942, to Raymond and Jeanette Mildred (Paschal) Meyer in St. Louis. They preceded him in death.
Raymond was a long-time teamster member driving for Kroger and Consolidated Freightways. Through that role he also competed in driving rodeos where he won several awards. He enjoyed boating and completing home improvement projects. Later, in retirement, he continued his enjoyment of maintaining vehicles, gardening, and helping friends and neighbors.
He is survived by significant other, May O’Brien of Gerald; son, William “Billy” Meyer of Stanton; daughters, Jennifer Birger of Chesterfield, Shawna Cass and husband David of O’Fallon, and Jacqueline Adamson; and sister, Susan Steinnerd and husband Ray of St. Louis; and grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday (today), Oct. 23, at 11 a.m. at Countryside Memorial Garden in Owensville with Rev. Kevin Sullivan officiating.
