Richard Andrew Boyd, 82, Owensville, passed away Friday, Nov. 26, 2021, at Mercy Hospital in Creve Coeur.

He was born May 9, 1939, to Everett Lewis and Mae (Warren) Boyd in St. Clair.

He was united in marriage to Shirley (Scheel) Crosby, May 22, 1983, at St. John’s United Church of Christ in Bem,

Richard was a member of Christian Church of Owensville. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.

He was preceded in death by parents Everett and Mae; daughter Rita Boyd; granddaughter Sara Boyd; grandson Adam Boyd; and sister Dorothy Baxter.

He is survived by wife Shirley of their home; children Mark Boyd and wife Teresa, Anita Oldfather and husband Ray, Bilinda Garlock and husband Michael, David and wife Denice Crosby all of Owensville, and Teddy Crosby and wife Jane of Sullivan; grandchildren Savanna Schenck and husband Ben, Sabrina Pounds and husband Will, Payton Boyd, Kristie Zaccagnino and husband Thomas, Kelly Gerke and husband Darren, Stephen Garlock and wife Shelby, Amber Greife and husband Matt, Courtni Evrard and husband Matt, Tiffany and Dakota DeBroeck, Brad Crosby and wife Jennifer, Brent Crosby, Colby Crosby and wife Brittnie, Conner Crosby and wife Katy, Milissa Charboneau and husband Travis; and great-grandchildren Koda, Willow and Hero Schenck, Cash and Caleb Pounds, Nicholas, Luca, Adrian and Mila Zaccagnino, William and Matthew Gerke, Reagan and Joelle Garlock, Garret and Tucker Crosby, Chase and Jordan Crosby, Tyler Scharfenberg, Kylie Kitchen, Brailie, Kaeci-Jo, Jaxson and Emree Crosby, Austin, Kody and Alaina Charboneau, Aubriana Waters, Riley, Kole and Crosby Greife, Jayci Kolb, Shaylynn and Natalie Brown, Aria DeBroeck and Brody Wyatt.

Visitation will be Wednesday (today), Dec. 1, from 9-11 a.m. at Gottenstroeter Chapel, Owensville. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. at the Chapel with Pastor Patric Klingforth officiating. Burial will be in St. John’s United Church of Christ Cemetery in Bem.
