Richard Arthur Faulkner, 90, of Owensville, passed away Sunday, July 4, 2021 at his daughter’s home in Nashville, Tenn.

He was born Oct. 6, 1930, the son of Harvey and Adele Sommers Faulkner, in St. Louis.

He was united in marriage to Betty Melton, Jan. 6, 1959 in Piggott, Ark.

Richard retired as a shipping and receiving supervisor at Killark Electric in St. Louis. He was a member of St. Peter’s United Church of Christ in Owensville. He loved to fish, boat, camp, watch hockey and participate in anything outdoors.

He was preceded in death by wife, Betty; parents, Harvey and Adele; son, James Faulkner; daughter, Dana Crowell; sisters, Jane Carroll and Laverne Lowely; grandson Gregory Burger; and great grandson Garrett Dennis.

He is survived by son, John and wife Theresa Faulkner of Warrenton; daughter, Jacquelyn and husband Skip Underwood of Nashville, Tenn.; grandchildren, Daryl Underwood, Sarah Hollowell, Rachel Kraus, Michael and Keith Ubinger, Ray Kitchen, Renee Benson, Robin Abbott, Courtney Cox, Caitlin Dennis, Richard Faulkner and Stefani Icardi; and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Funerral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 17, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Nashville, Tenn., with Rev. James Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation.
