Robert C. “Bear” Wilcox, Jr., 54, Belle, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2019, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
He was born Jan. 13, 1965, to Robert C., Sr. and Nina M. (Burnia) Wilcox, in St. Louis.
Robert attended Pacific High School and received his GED in 2013.
He worked as a carpenter for many years in the St. Louis area.
He was preceded in death by parents, Robert and Nina; and sisters, Anna Ritrovato, Wanda Johnson and Ruthann Capone.
He is survived by sons, Matthew Puff and wife Sarah of Springfield and Jacob Weidler of Lee’s Summit; daughters, Brittney Wilcox and husband Nathan of Owensville and Brenda Turner and husband Franky of Belle; brother, Tommy Wilcox and wife LaDonna of Belle; and sisters, Anita Ficken of Owensville, Brenda Rose and husband Bill of Belle and Joyce Stutzman and husband Dannie of Kingsman, Ariz.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 23, at Sassmann’s Chapel in Belle with Jimmy Hance officiating. Memorial contributions suggested to the family. Arrangements entrusted to Sassmann’s Chapel, Belle.
