Roger L. Getz, 71, Branson West, formerly of Springfield, passed away Saturday, Jan. 9, 2021.
He was born Oct. 2, 1949, to Gerald and Della (Bailey) Getz, in Bonne Terre.
Roger worked in education during his working career. He was a member of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Kimberling City and the Kimberling City Elks.
He was preceded in death by parents, Gerald and Della; brothers, Raymond and Larry Getz; mother-in-law, Betty Meyer; and brother-in-law, Donald Meyer.
He is survived by wife, Connie; brother, Ricky Getz of Farmington; father-in-law, Harlan Meyer; and sisters-in-law, Everyl Getz, Shirley Getz and Becky Meyer.
A celebration of life was held Friday, Jan. 15, at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Kimberling City with Rev. Rich Futrell officiating. Burial was in Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield.
