Ruth Ella Ostmann, 84, St. Charles, passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2020, at Hermann Area District Hospital.
She was born, May 12, 1926, to Louis and Amanda (Erfmann) Hobein, in Bay.
She was united in marriage to Warren H. Ostmann, April 4, 1959, at St. Paul’s Evangelical Church in Bay.
Ruth was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ in St. Charles, a longtime member of Northside Homemaker’s Club of St. Charles County and an avid quilter at Bay. She enjoyed embroidering, was an excellent seamstress and cook and was a collector of cookbooks.
She was preceded in death by parents, Louis and Amanda; husband, Warren,; and sister, Stella Pickering.
She is survived by,son, Dale Ostmann of St. Charles.
Graveside services were held, Monday, June 8, at St. Paul’s Cemetery in Bay with Rev. Lisa Martin officiating. Memorials requested to St. Paul’s Cemetery Association in Bay or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
