Several kids showed up at the Bridle and Saddle Club arena at City Park last Tuesday, July 7. The club offered a horsemanship class to any interested child in the community. Ben Prilwetz (above, crouching by horse) and Mike Link (above, far right) began the class by teaching them the parts of a horse. They then transitioned into teaching about tack: saddles, saddle pads, halters and bits. The club plans to offer more classes for kids in the future in an effort to foster a love and understanding of horses.
