Numerous fans filled both sides of the bleachers in the lower field at Memorial Park Saturday night for a demolition derby to benefit the Owensville Volunteer Fire Department (OVFD) and the Gasconade County Sheriff’s Office (GCSO) K9 fund. A custom painted door brought in $1,700 after being auctioned off twice prior to the final class of the derby. OVFD Chief Jeff Arnold said Tuesday afternoon that final dollar figures for funds raised were still being figured as of press time.
