An estimated 200 people attended the dedication ceremony held out front under extremely warm conditions. Presiding Gasconade County Commissioner Larry Miskel praised Steven Campbell, executive director of the Scenic Regional Library District, for his foresight in approaching commissioners about running a bond issue to fund the project as part of a multi-community effort to build new libraries or remodel existing ones. “This is just another feather in Gasconade County’s and Hermann’s cap,” said Miskel. The bond project also funded the new Owensville branch.
