Osage County Sheriff Mike Bonham said at 1:52 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 20 that Shay Vinson was taken into custody this morning.
Bonham said his department received a tip that Vinson was in route to a residence on Highway CC near Linn in Osage County.
"Deputies were sent in waiting," Bonham said. "When Vinson showed with Macy Nolte, they began to approach the vehicle. He got out and ran."
Deputies pursued Vinson on foot. He tripped over a fence, and when he still did not listen to orders to stop, deputies deployed their tasers. Bonham said Vinson was not injured, and deputies were able to take him into custody.
"He was transported to the hospital for precautionary reasons," Bonham said. "He will be back in custody this afternoon in the county jail."
Bonham said he expects additional charges against Vinson to be filed, and thanked the Missouri State Highway Patrol for their assistance.
Update: 2:26 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 20
Bonham said Vinson was taken into custody at 11:15 a.m., along with Macy Nolte. Charges are pending on Nolte for aiding a fugitive. She is currently being held at the Osage County Jail. Bonham said Nolte was one of the two females trapped in the Mazda that Vinson wrecked Nov. 15 at the intersection of Maries County Roads 402 and 405.
"She could have said she didn't know he was wanted on Friday," Bonham said. "But she definitely knew this time."
Vinson is under arrest and will be booked at the Osage County Jail when he returns from the hospital. Bonham expects he will be held without bond until Osage County is finished with him. Then they will pass him to Gasconade and Maries countoes who also have holds placed on Vinson for other cases.
