Shirley Rae Jean Dorrough, 84, Bland, passed away Wednesday, April 1, 2020, at Phelps County Regional Medical Center with her family at her bedside.
She was born Oct. 28, 1935, a daughter to the late John and Mayme (Love) Durbin, in Bland.
She was united in marriage to the Gerald Dean Dorrough, Dec. 5, 1953, in Bland.
Shirley was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church in Bland.
Shirley, known to most as Rea Jean, was a beautician for most of her life and owned her own beauty shop.
Preceding her in death were her parents, John and Mayme Durbin; husband, Gerald: one daughter, Debbie; two sisters, Bernice Bishop and Margie Daniels; and four brothers, Chester, Bobby, Kenny and Edward Durbin.
She is survived by two sons, David and wife Kathy of Raymore and Rick and wife Pam of Owensville; one daughter, Connie Dorrough of Bland; one brother, Larry Durbin and wife Mary of Bland; one sister, Carlin Wildhabner of Leslie; seven grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren as well as many extended family members and friends.
Private services will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are under the direction of Sassmann’s Chapel, Bland.
