Shirley Irene Meyer, 81, Owensville, passed away Thursday, May 14, 2020, at Frene Valley in Owensville.
Shirley was born Oct. 22, 1938, to Wintford and Clara (Mistler) Hodges, in Owensville.
She was united in marriage to Franklin Meyer, Oct. 24, 1959, at Church of Christ in Owensville.
Shirley was an office clerk in shoe manufacturing. She enjoyed reading and loved assembling miniature doll houses. Shirley was a member of Church of Christ in Owensville.
She was preceded in death by parents, Wintford and Clara; and husband, Franklin.
She is survived by son, Dennis Meyer and wife Kaye of Des Moines, Iowa; brother, Harold “Butch” Hodges and wife Judy of Owensville; grandchildren, Daniel Hirsch and wife Marta of Omaha, Neb., and Kelly Evans and husband Michael of St. Louis; and nine great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a later date with Pastor Larry Harris officiating. Burial was in Countryside Memorial Gardens of Owensville.
