Shirley May Pyrtle, 70 of Bland, passed away Sunday, Jan. 22, 2023, in Foley, Ala.
She was born June 10, 1952, to Theodore and Amanda (Korff) Beucke in Washington.
She was united in marriage to James Pyrtle and they shared 25 years of making wonderful memories.
Shirley worked at the Brown Shoe Company and retired from Gasconade Manor. She was a volunteer for the election polls for well over 10 years. She loved her dog, Cocoa, and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. She enjoyed pictures of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by parents, Theodore and Amanda; and brothers, Leroy and Henry Beucke.
Shirley is survived by daughter, Lori Walters and husband Jarrett of Foley, Ala.; son, Jamie Pyrtle and wife Angelia of Owensville; grandchildren, Mackenzie Sutton and husband Trip of Springfield, Ill., Madison, Nicholas, and Josye Walters of Foley, Ala., Harley and Dalton Pyrtle, and Landen and Blaine Diestelkamp all of Owensville; great-grandchildren, Lenny and Maverick Sutton of Springfield, Ill.; plus many other relatives and a host of friends.
A memorial service for Shirley May Pyrtle will be held Saturday, Feb. 25, at 12 p.m. at the Bland Christian Church in Bland.
