In Shirley’s own words….

I was born on October 25th, 1934 in Vienna, Missouri, a daughter to the late Thurman and Minnie (Backues) Crider.

I was married to Alfred Jones on October 25th, 1952. Alfred passed away on May 9th, 1984. I later married Ishmael Wilson on May 20th, 1988. Ishmael passed away on July 29th, 2007.

I am preceded in death by my parents; two brothers, Harry and Howard; two sisters, Bernice Gillispie and Hazel Breeding; and one step-son-in-law, Bill Wood.

I am survived by one sister, Marie Wagner of Vienna, many nieces and nephews; four step-daughters, Sue Wood of Holts Summit, Pam Robinson with her husband Bob of Edgar Springs, Cheryl Harris with her husband Don of Salem, and Jeanine Howard with her husband Billy of Independence; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren as well as many extended family members and friends.

I worked for the Department of Agriculture for 30 years and am a member of the Owensville Church of Christ.

Shirley will be missed greatly by those that knew and loved her.
