Slate set for the April election

Filing for the April election closed on Dec. 28, and the slate is set for those seeking office in municipal, school board and other tax-funded district races as of press time.

At Linn, Mayor Dwight Massey, along with Ward One Alderman Steven Boeckmann and Ward Two Alderman Mike Montgomery have filed for reelection.

Freeburg incumbent trustee Shane Zimmer and Jamie Kaesik have filed for reelection.

Meta aldermen Steven Sherrell and Otto Wankum have filed to retain their seats.

At Morrison, Mayor Melissa Strope, aldermen Jason Koenigsfeld and Steve Nolte, and Collector Stephanie Birk filed for election.

At R-2, candidates are Jamie Bish, Brett Phillips, and Albert R. Rieke, Andrew Womack, and Scotty Dudenhoeffer for seats held by Tye DeCramer and Dennis Gravedoni.

At Westphalia, incumbent aldermen Gerhard Schmitz and Danny Wilde have filed for reelection, along with Ben Holterman, Jamie Kleffner, Ashlee Ryan, and Lori Asel.

At Fatima R-3, Mandy Kliethermes has filed for election, along with incumbents Coby Holzschuh and Matt Robertson.

Bob Goodenough and Marion Starr have filed for re-election in their respective sub-districts with the Osage Ambulance District.

Laura Miller in Subdistrict 1 and Laura Stratman in Subdistrict 4 have filed to retain their seats without opposition at the Maries Osage Ambulance District.

Bill Wirtel, Brad Gabelsberger, and Dee Vaughan have filed for election with the Linn Fire Protection District.

In the race for alderman at Chamois, incumbents Marty Gerloff and Jim Wright have filed for reelection.
