Stanley Leo Donner, 87, of Bland, passed away Jan. 19, 2023 at the home of his daughter, Joette Blankenship in Sullivan.
He was born Oct. 17,1935, to Leo Joseph and Veronica Ida (Siess) Donner in St. Clair.
He was united in marriage to Bertha Mae Slankard Feb. 27,1954, in Richwoods. He then married Bette Marie Epling on Sept. 9,1962, in Ada, Ohio. Bette passed away May 8,1974 in Dola, Ohio. He married Jayne Marie (Schmitz) McKenzie on May 14,1976 in Hardin, Ohio.
Stanley worked for International Shoes, Brown Shoe, and Purina Farms. He was in the National Guard until 1961.He later worked for Lake Central Airlines in Lima, Ohio. He started Donner Construction.
He is preceded in death by parents, Leo and Veronica; brother, Marvin Leo Donner; sisters, Joan Lillian Carroll and Leora Mae Arens; son, Brian Keith Donner; and son-in-law, James “Andy” Blankenship.
He is survived by children, Joette Blankenship of Sullivan, Diana Moore and husband Remington of Mineral, Wash., Steven Donner of Bourbon, Larry Donner and wife Sheila of Bourbon, and Jennifer McKay and husband Darrell of St. Louis; partner, Amelia Gaylord of Bland; brothers, James Donner and wife Gerry of Union, Vince Donner and wife Maggie of Belgium, Frank Donner and wife Libby of Easton, Penn., Eugene Donner and wife Margie of Bourbon, Robert and wife Pat of Shelbyville, Tenn.; and 10 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Cremation arrangements have taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
