Stanley Fred Sieker, 81, Gerald, passed away Sunday, Jan. 19, 2020, at his residence.
He was born Aug. 24, 1938, to Fredrick and Leona (Altemeyer) Sieker, in Gerald.
He was united in marriage to Joyce Vondracek, Sept. 30, 1959, in Gerald.
Stanley was a member of UAW Local No. 136. He enjoyed hunting, traveling and working with his animals.
He was preceded in death by parents, Fredrick and Leona; wife, Joyce; brothers, Milford, Lester and Lawrence Sieker; and sisters, Hilda Julius, Marie Julius and Viola Nicks.
He is survived by children, Tim Sieker and wife Laura of Rosebud and Teresa Drewel of Gerald; sister, Bernice Copeland of Gerald; grandchildren, Michelle Woodland of St. Charles, Kenneth Fortner and Sarah Belmer of Gerald, James Fortner and wife Megan of New Haven, Ashley Drewel of Gerald, Brittiany Rooffener of Rosebud and Johnathon Dillon and wife Melanie of Sullivan; and great-grandchildren, Justin, Gavin and Adam Woodland, Madeline and Alexandra Fortner, Makynzi, William and Milo Rooffener.
Visitation will be held (today) Wednesday, Jan. 22, from 4-7 p.m. at Gottenstroeter Chapel in Gerald.
Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. at the Chapel with Rev. Ron Koppelmann officiating. The cremains will be interred at St. Paul’s Cemetery in Gerald.
The family request memorial to St. Louis Children’s Hospital.
