Former Dutchmen head baseball Bill Seamon bumps first with Kyle Brandt during introduction of alumni players on Thursday. Seamon was the guest of honor and threw out a ceremonial first pitch. Dutchmen catcher Dominic Grigaitis presented Seamon with the ball afterward. The pre-game ceremony included a special presentation of a baseball bat, signed by members of head coach Tyler Ahring’s 2010 senior classmates, which had been won in a raffle by a family member of his former teammate, the late Gabe Hollander. Ahring’s former teammate, Matthew Jett, presented him with the bat on behalf of Hollander’s parents, Steve and Debbie, who were in attendance. Ahring points to the Hollanders after receiving the treasured keepsake. The afternoon included musical pre-game and between-inning performances by members of Ahring’s Barley Covered band. Guitarist Dan Kampe performed the “Star Spangled Banner”  as drummer Casey Erhart looks on. Clay Ahlfelt sported his Cardinal red to match his guitar as Sheradin Edler and Erhart team up on “Love Shack” by the B-52s. Kampe was in baseball fan character, sporting a new ball glove at the ready on each pitch, wearing a dutchmen cap.
