Ameren Missouri lineman made temporary repairs Monday to a utility pole which was damaged when a motorist drove off Springfield Road at Cherry and clipped a guide wire which broke off the top of the pole. A new pole will be installed and the street light (below) reattached. The motorist was not hurt. Power was turned off to a select few locations while work was completed to temporarily secure the power lines to an extension device attached to the broken pole.
