An early morning rain settled the dust and area children pulled peddle tractors under the Rosebud Community Park pavilion.

Bryan Diener of New Haven brought his son Eli to the 60th Annual Steam Engine and Threshing Show on Saturday. In the shade of a 200-year-old oak tree, they watch a crew saw lumber using one of the Gasconade County Thresher Association’s steam engines. Watching the show with them is Grant Anderson, also of New Haven.

Dave Schulte, of Sullivan, demonstrates his John Deere Model 1B hand-crank corn shucker while his cousin, Eugene Schulte, watches from the comfort of his chair. Schulte purchased the 1920s cast iron shucker last year at an auction in Stony Hill. After some elbow grease it was ready for the show.

Steam engines and tractors parade on Saturday during the 60th thresher’s show in Rosebud. Longtime Gasconade County Thresher’s Association member Jane Willis was presented a service award from fellow member Eldo Meyer following the opening ceremony on Sunday which featured a flag presentation by BSA Troop 22 of Owensville. An early morning rain settled the dust and area children pulled peddle tractors under the Rosebud Community Park pavilion. Warm weather prevailed throughout the weekend.
