In addition to Owensville’s duo of Lucas Morgan and Ilene Limberg, the Four Rivers Conference (FRC) will be well represented this weekend during the Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA) Cross Country Championships to be held at the Gans Creek Cross Country Course in Columbia.

Runners from Sullivan, Union and Pacific will compete on Friday, Nov. 5 during the Class 4 races in Columbia.

Union had five harriers post top-30 finishes to qualify for state including Gabriel Hoekel, Taylor Meyer, William Herbst, Ella Coppinger and Kelsey Brake.

Sullivan’s duo of Aiden Kirk and Emily Willman also posted top-30 finishes during their Class 4, District 2 meet in Bolivar Saturday.

Class 4, District 1 action in Hillsboro saw Pacific’s Collin Haley and Nick Hunkins advance to state for the Indians.

Vanessa Perona was the lone St. James harrier to qualify for state out of Class 3, District 2 in Clever. 

St. Clair, Hermann and New Haven competed in their respective district meets Saturday in Linn.

In Class 3, St. Clair’s duo of Case Busse and Brooklyn Cannon joined Owensville’s pair among FRC state cross country qualifiers.

Hermann’s Lady Bearcats qualified their whole team after topping eight other Class 2 girls scoring teams with 27 points.

Led by district champion Amelia Uthlaut, Lady Bearcat harriers qualifying for state also included Morgan Miller, Kate Menke, Alaina Worland, Clara Scheible, Ava Engemann and Ariana Maddox.

They will be joined by Hermann’s boys trio of Tavis Harris, Jackson Poehlman and Ben Berkemeyer at Gans Creek.

New Haven’s Lady Shamrocks and Shamrocks placed second and third respectively in team scoring advancing their entire squads to the Class 1 races at state in Columbia.

Shamrock state qualifiers include Logan Williams, Andrew Rethemeyer, Hunter Tallent, Charlie Roth, Jose Romo-Vazquez, David Otten and Ryan Steinbeck.

Lady Shamrocks off to state include Gracie Steele, Janelle Cronin, Emily Delgado, Sydney Grubb, Chloe Grater and Lexi Yochim.
