Absent last summer due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 59th Annual Gasconade County Threshers Association Steam Engine and Threshing Show will return this weekend to the Rosebud Community Park.

Tractors and steam engines of all shapes, sizes and colors will be on display for all to see throughout Friday, July 16 until Sunday, July 18.

For those competitive-minded folk, there will be plenty of events to satisfy your cravings.

Friday activities will begin with tractor games in front of the grandstand at 5 p.m.

Among the games included will be a barrel race, slow race, balloon pop and corn plant.

One new event for 2021 will be a lawn mower fun pull on the lower field at 6 p.m., following the tractor games.

Games involving steam engines are also reportedly in the works for this year on Friday night.

Competition highlights on Saturday begin with a cast iron skillet throwing contest for ladies beginning at 10:15 a.m.

Following the Saturday parade of tractors and steam engines, a tractor pull involving multiple weight classes will take place at the lower field.

After entertainment by the Baker Family Band out of south central Missouri, the annual fiddle, banjo and guitar contest will take place at approximately 4:30 p.m.

Demonstrations of sawing lumber and threshing grain will lead to the traditionally popular bale toss at 7 p.m., Saturday night in front of the grandstand.

Sunday activities for the sports enthusiasts will include an adult pedal tractor pull at 10 a.m., in the morning.

A pony pull and kids pedal tractor pull will wind down the 59th Threshers show in Rosebud.
