At its regular monthly meeting last week, the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission approved a contract to rehabilitate two bridges in Gasconade and Maries counties.
Concrete Strategies was awarded a contract to rehabilitate the U.S. Route 50 bridge over the Gasconade River, in Mount Sterling, and the U.S. Route 63 bridge over the Gasconade River, south of Vienna. The contractor submitted the lowest bid of $1,413,242.
Work is scheduled to take place this year. A start date for work on each bridge has not yet been established. MoDOT will alert the public with updates through signs, news releases and social media. When work begins, occasional lane closures are likely at both locations.
For more information about these project or other transportation-related matters, please call 1-888-ASK-MoDOT (275-6636) or visit www.modot.org/central. Follow the MoDOT Central Missouri District on Facebook and Twitter for project updates.
