Ice, heavy rain and high winds have combined to cause limbs to drop all over town. When one tree came down on West Sixth Street, it managed to land on a vehicle and hit a house. It appears the SUV kept the large tree from doing too much damage to the home near where it once stood, as it narrowly missed a second-story window. One tree branch did appear to land on the rear bumper of the vehicle and pull it down. The house is one of the oldest in Gerald.
