Life matters

Posted

To the Editor:

Life matters regardless the color of ones skin. This country was made up of diversity of colors. Let us be thankful for what we have not for what we can get. People of all races died for this country.

My family is military from WWI and respect the flag, not to be stepped on and burnt, we stand and honor the flag.

In my 90 plus years, I have seen a lot, but the thing that troubles me is the destroying of our history in knocking down statues of our history no matter what race. It reminds me of Iraq destroying their history.

I do worry about our children growing up with no knowledge of the past. Whether it is black or white, it is not the color of the skin it is what is under it. God have mercy.
