VIENNA — Shay Michael Vinson appeared Monday before Maries County Circuit Court Judge William Hickle but he will not be formally arraigned until Dec. 10 by Associate Circuit Court Judge Kerry Rowden.
Vinson, outfitted in an orange Maries County Jail jumpsuit and cuffed at the ankles and wrists, asked if this was his arraignment on his case, and was told no.
He has new Maries County charges including felony of tampering with a motor vehicle in the first degree, and misdemeanor trespassing in the first degree.
New charges in Osage County include felony possession of a controlled substance except 35 grams or less of marijuana/synthetic cannabinoid; misdemeanor possession of marijuana/synthetic cannabinoid of 10 grams or less; misdemeanor unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia; and a class E felony of resisting or interfering with an arrest.
Old charges in Gasconade County include two cases which allege a class D felony count of possession of a controlled substance and a class E felony for resisting arrest. Three other misdemeanor charges accompany the resisting arrest case.
Maries County Prosecuting Attorney Anthony “Tony” Skouby said he is waiting on a probable cause statement from the Missouri State Highway Patrol and may file more charges against Vinson.
Vinson is currently being held without bond in the Maries County Jail in Vienna.
