Wesley Edward Heidbrier was born March 24, 1931, to proud parents, Wesley George Heidbrier and Alice Freida (Ganz) Heidbrier. Siblings were Walter, William, Warren, Wallace and Marion. All have preceded him in death.
He was joined in marriage May 28, 1955, to Carrol Joyce Rehmert.
Before passing, he thanked her for being the wonderful wife she truly was. Their children are Wesley A. Heidbrier and wife Lisa and June A. Vogt (husband, Randy Pehle). Their grandchildren are Jared Heidbrier and wife Raye, Ryan Heidbrier and wife Kimberly, Cameron Vogt, Kevin DeBrecht and Stephanie Johnson and husband Brandon. Their great grandchildren are Danny Heidbrier, Ashley Heidbrier, Haiden Heidbrier, Aurora Heidbrier, Logan Johnson, Cash Johnson, Calel Johnson, Chandler DeBrecht and Chase DeBrecht.
He was most lovingly called “Pop” by those who knew him, whether related or not. Due to the early passing of Carrol’s father, her younger siblings considered him more a father than a brother. His most famous line was, “That reminds me of a joke!” And, what came next was always funny. He was a faithful Jehovah’s Witness. One of his true joys was working with his son in the construction trade. He was always the first to the dinner table and the last to leave. He greeted everyone with a great big smile and was known for his bear hugs. His children and grandchildren follow his lead. It was their most favorite thing about him...
While on hospice at the age of 88, Wesley passed away the night of March 25, 2019, at home with his loving wife and son by his side.
Memorial service April 13 at 2 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Sullivan.
