Saturday was cool and drizzly as runners arrived at Legion Park to sign in for the Rock Island 5K Run. Participants were warm enough when they returned from their race circuit through town. Winners were (in no particular order) Male 15-19 Braeden Stone, Female 20-29 Kendall Reeves, Male 30-39 Ben Hoemann 21.49 (first place overall as well), Male 40-49 Patrick Meyer, Female 40-49 Sandy Nicks, Male 50-59 Bill Gerth, Female 50-59 Michelle Baumer, Male 60-69 David Streubel, Female 70 and over Carol Kuhlmann. 22 runners signed up for the event.
