William J. Grote Jr, 68, Owensville, passed away Thursday, July 29, 2021 at Mercy Hospital in Creve Coeur.
He was born Jan. 9, 1953, to William J. Sr and Dolores M. (Latour) Grote.
He was united in marriage to Lya H Grote, Sept. 8, 1991, in Medina, Ohio.
William was preceded in death by parents, William Sr. and Dolores.
He is survived by wife, Lya of Owensville; sisters, Linda Yonkoe and husband David, Carol Swearingen and husband Randy, all of Ohio and Fauna Reichert of St. Louis; brother, Rob Grote and wife Marylene of Fla.; son, Don Shoemaker and wife Heather of Colo.; daughter, Jill Shoemaker of Colo.; step-sons, Steve Bourke and wife Lelia and Whelan Bourke; grandchildren, Olivia, Lucia, Joey, Noah, Olivia and Mikey.
This will be a private family service.
