William Joseph Jett, 85, Owensville, passed away Saturday, June 25, 2022, at Kindred Hospital St. Louis South.
He was born March 26, 1937, to Marvin Sr., and Clara (Maciejewski) Jett in Rosebud.
William liked watching NASCAR and enjoyed working on and renovating his home. He also enjoyed restoring furniture and was a lover of animals and wildlife.
He was preceded in death by parents Marvin Sr. and Clara; siblings Frank Jett, Marvin Jett Jr., Margaret Paasch, Irene Crombie and Gaylord Jett; and grandson Nicholas W. Jett.
He is survived by children Scott W. Jett and wife Sandra, and Cindy Witherspoon and husband Doug all of Washington; grandchildren Benjamin Jett and wife Jayme of Columbia, S.C., Aaron Witherspoon of St. Louis, Jessica Gierer and husband Ryan of Villa Ridge; great-grandchildren Audrey, Dorothy and Jackson Gierer; brother Kenny Jett of Owensville; and significant other Carol Whiffen and son Shawn of Owensville.
His ashes will be interred at a later date with a private graveside service at Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery, Owensville, with
Fr. Wayne Boyer officiating.
