William Earnest Maupin, 62, Owensville, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2022, at his residence.
He was born Sept. 9, 1960, to Earnest and Hazel Allene (Fisher) Maupin in Fayette.
He was united in marriage to Tracey Cates, July 24, 1999, in Columbia.
William enjoyed fishing, woodworking, the outdoors, especially hunting and most importantly spending time with family.
He was preceded in death by parents Earnest and Hazel; and brother Harold Maupin.
He is survived by wife Tracey of their home; children Chris Maupin and wife Daphne of Jefferson City, Ryan Cates and wife Stacy of Columbia, Jessica Wood and husband Korey of Fayette and Katie Stranghoener and husband Scott of Owensville; siblings Charlie Maupin and wife Mary Lou of Mexico, Wayne Maupin and wife Beverly of Claremore, Okla. and Deana Maupin of Jefferson City; and 16 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
His body was cremated and no services are planned at this time.
