The family of two-year-old Truett Palmer of Owensville received a check from the Yesterdays Cruisers Car Club for $9,600 Monday. The funds were raised through months of hard work by the club culminating in a benefit Cruise-in Sept. 15. Raffle winners were: John Milikan - gun, Adriene Calvert half a hog processed by Swiss Meats, Tom Vogt - $100 cash, Kelly Boze - wagon of booze. In addition to the $9,600, Vogt and Calvert donated their prizes to the Palmer family as well. Truett is facing a life-threatening heart condition and was in the hospital during the benefit and for the photograph. Club members available to present the check were: (above, left to right) Tom and Donna Musgrave, Marilyn Mattick, Olin Wildhaber, John Milikan, Judy and George Mosely, Bob Fink, Jim
Capra, Sharon Steineker and Truett’s father, Brett Palmer. Since 2005 the club has raised more than $130,000 for area families facing medical crises.
