David Mitchell Liss, 52, Owensville, died Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2018, at Mercy Hospital, Washington.

He was born Aug. 22, 1966, to Harvey and Rochelle (Grossman) Liss, in Fullerton, Calif.

He was united in marriage to Kimberly Emo, May 22, 2015, at St. Peters.

David had a zest for life and was an amazing salesman. He had a kitchen exhaust cleaning business.

He enjoyed grilling outdoors and spending time with his children. He also enjoyed surfing. He served his country in the U.S. Navy.

He was preceded in death by two children in infancy.

He is survived by wife, Kimberly Liss; father, Harvey of Aurora, Colo.; mother, Rochelle of Newport Beach, Calif.; mother-in-law, Starlyn Emo of Owensville; sons, Elijah Liss and Evander Liss of Owensville; daughters, Christina Vanvuren-Wilmot and husband David of Atlanta, Ga. and Natalie Liss and Elizabeth Liss both of Wentzville; step-son, Haydien Emo of Jacksonville, N.C.; step-daughter, Daizy Hendrickson of Owensville; sisters, Dayna Liss-Sorem and husband Al of Otsego, Minn. and Marla Lindner and husband Pete of Apple Valley, Minn.; and grandchild, Journey Vanvuren of Atlanta, Ga.

A celebration of life was held Thursday, Sept. 13 at First Baptist Church in Owensville with Rev. Kevin Sullivan officiating.
