Bonnie Corenne Hempelmann, 81, of Columbia, passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2024, at home surrounded by her family.
She was born January 26, 1943, the daughter of Walter and Margaret (Shmalz) White, in Paonia, Colo., who preceded her in death.
Bonnie met the love of her life, Dale Hempelmann, and the two were married on July 8, 1967 in Aurora, Colo.
She graduated from Delta High School in Delta, Colo., class of 1961. Bonnie worked in the medical field for 25 years as a Histotechnologist for St. Joseph Hospital in Denver, Colo., and Phelps County Hospital in Phelps County. She enjoyed reading, oil painting, playing games with her grandchildren, attending arts and craft shows. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Columbia.
She was preceded in death by parents, Walter and Margaret White; loving husband, Dale Hempelmann; daughter, Briana Cady; son, Kirk Hempelmann; and brother, Jerry White.
She is survived by daughter, Lynette Waite (Jeff) of Columbia; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brother, Rick White of Las Vegas; and a host of extended family and friends.
