Jason J. “Cowboy” Chapman, 49, of Owensville, passed away April 23, 2024.

Jason was born Nov. 8, 1974, a son to the late Robert “Bob” and Yvonne (Molecke) Chapman in St. Louis.

Jason was a lifelong area resident and a 1994 graduate of Owensville High School.

Jason had been employed at Lost Valley Lake Resort for over 15 years. He was a hard worker who rarely took a day off. Jason was kind hearted, and easy going with a great sense of humor. He lived his life the way he wanted. Other than work, his hobbies included hunting and fishing, as well as, raising Australian Shepherds when he was younger. Jason was also great with cattle and enjoyed helping out his father on the farm when he was younger. He will be missed greatly by those that knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by mother, Yvonne and father, Robert.

Jason is survived by brothers, Cory Chapman and wife Patty of Bland and Darron Chapman; second mother, Linda Chapman; niece, Caitlyn Backer; and dog Butters; as well as many extended family members and friends.

Graveside services were held Friday, April 26, in the Leduc Church Cemetery.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Leduc Church Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of Sassmann’s Chapel, Bland.
