Robert Gene Jenkins, 90, of Owensville, passed away Sunday, April 7, 2024, at Stonebridge of Owensville.
He was born July 6, 1933, to John and Grace (Miller) Jenkins in Belle.
He was united in marriage to Janafay O. Mehrhoff, Nov. 30, 1958, in Belle.
Robert had been a pastor for over 50 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching St. Louis Cardinals baseball.
He was preceded in death by parents, John and Grace; wife, Janafay; brothers, Earl, Pete, Charles and Woodrow; sisters, May Smith, Edna Kelly and Dorothy John; son, Dwight Buehrlen; grandson, Michael Talbert; granddaughter, Michelle Butler; and great-grandson, Shane Fizer.
He is survived by children, Priscilla DeGuire of St. Louis, Bill Buehrlen of Hillsboro, Kathy Mealy and husband Rick of Holts Summit, Rose Marie Sohm and husband Eric, Darryl Jenkins all of Belle and Timothy Jenkins of New Bloomfield; 13 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Wednesday (today), April 10, from 9–11 a.m. at Gottenstroeter Chapel in Owensville.
Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. with Rev. Tim Blackwell officiating. Burial will be in Campbell Cemetery in Belle.
