Albert Maurice Hoener “Morris,” 88, Linn passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at Gasconade Manor in Owensville.
He was born Sept. 12, 1937, to the late Albert and Esther (Kraenow) Hoener in Bay.
He proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Army.
After completing his time in the military, he came back to the farm and worked there until his health prevented him from continuing.
Maurice was a member of the New Haven American Legion Post 366 and a member of the Evangelical St Paul Church in Cooper Hill.
He was preceded in death by former wife, Doeleda (Deppermann) Hoener; parents, Albert and Esther; and brothers, Donald and Ralph Hoener.
Maurice is survived by sisters, Janice Walker and husband Jack of Jefferson City, Joyce Helling of Mexico and Shirley Leimkuehler of Linn; brother, Leroy Hoener and wife Carol of Toney, Ala.; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held on Friday, March 6, at Morton Chapel in Linn, with Rev. Marty Guise officiating.
Interment with Full Military Honors was in the Bay Bethel Cemetery in Bay.
