Arlene Joyce Houston, 88, Dixon, passed away Thursday, Oct. 20, 2022, at her residence.
She was born on July 20, 1934, a daughter of Erton and Orilla (Spalding) Godfrey at Stowe, Vt.
She was united in marriage to Ernest Barnes Houston, Oct. 5, 1949.
Arlene attended Roubidoux Springs, Jehovah Witness Kingdom Hall, Waynesville.
She was preceded in death by parents Erton and Orilla; husband Ernest; children Geraldine Houston, Barbara Houston, James “Jim” Houston and Robert Houston; infant brother and sister; and sister Hilda Grimes.
She is survived by children Nancy Hudgens of Hardwick, Vt., Ernest Houston, Jr. and wife Pam, Debra Parkhurst all of Dixon, William “Bill” Houston and wife Emily of Cameron, N.C., and Michael Houston and wife Dawn of Lake Elmore, Vt.; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Arlene’s family and friends will gather at a later occasion to remember her life at a service of remembrance.
