Barbara Ann Hollandsworth, 73, Canaan, passed away Saturday, Feb. 6, 2021, at her residence.

She was born Nov. 30, 1947, to George and Dorothy (Walker) Cook, in Belle.

She was united in marriage to Roy Lee Hollandsworth, April 15, 1967, in High Gate.

Barbara enjoyed spending time with family, going to her grandchildren’s sporting events and school activities, watching game shows on tv, crossword and word search puzzles and playing aggravation and cards with family members in her younger years, as well as playing softball and volleyball. She enjoyed cooking, baking and making Christmas candy. Barbara was very caring, always had a smile on her face, and made time for everyone.

Barbara worked at International Shoe Factory, Brown Shoe Company, and for Henry Meyer Jr. in the egg operation for many years until her first grandchild was born. She then chose to stay home and babysit.

She was preceded in death by parents, George and Dorothy; brothers, Gene, Delmar and Bobby Cook; and sister, Hazel Verlee Steen.

She is survived by husband, Roy, of the home; daughter, Lisa Ann Heidbreder of Canaan; siblings, Billy Cook, Cora Steen, Brenda Martin and husband Shelby and Greg Cook and wife Becky, all of Belle, and Roger Cook and special friend Linda Wilson of Alton; grandchildren, Mikayla Fries and special friend Ben Glaser and Lexi Fries and Layni Heidbreder.

Funeral services were Tuesday, Feb. 9, at Gottenstroeter Funeral Chapel in Owensville with Rev. Kevin Sullivan officiating. Burial was in Countryside Memorial Gardens near Owensville.
