Plating three more runs in the second and third innings, the Bearcats put the game away with a nine-run bottom of the fourth inning helping them to a 20-5 victory in four innings.
Kruz Eldringhoff got the scoring started for Hermann in the bottom of the first inning when he walked and scored on a Carter Humphrey RBI double.
After Humphrey scored on an error after his double, Nolan Ogroski singled and scored on a Kyle Koch RBI single.
Trent Chasteen also walked and scored on a wild pitch before Koch later scored on a passed ball capping Hermann’s five-run bottom of the first inning.
Adding to their lead in the bottom of the second inning, Bracksten Carr and Eldringhoff were both hit by pitches before scoring on RBI singles from Humphrey and Chasteen.
Humphrey capped the three-run bottom of the second inning scoring on an error bumping the Bearcat lead to 8-1.
Plating three more runs in the bottom of the third inning, Carr reached on an error before scoring on a Humphrey RBI single.
Eldringhoff was then hit by a pitch before scoring his third run of the game.
Kohlt Witthaus scored Hermann’s final run of the bottom of the third inning after reaching on a fielder’s choice pushing Hermann’s lead to 11-5 after three innings.
Concluding the game in the bottom of the fourth, Hermann sent 12 batters to the plate scoring nine runs on nine hits and a walk.
Cole Brinker and Koch both scored twice in the bottom of the fourth while scoring a run apiece for the Bearcats were Braden Schutt, Corbin Sadler, Carr, Eldringhoff and Witthaus.
Carr earned the complete-game win pitching four innings allowing five runs on five hits and three walks to go with three strikeouts.
On the road in Elsberry last Wednesday, Hermann out hit the host Indians 7-3 but ended up on the short end of a 4-0 final score.
Having base runners in each inning aside from the top of the seventh, Hermann was simply not able to get the timely hit with runners in scoring position.
Trailing 3-0 after four innings, Hermann had their best shot at getting on the scoreboard in the top of the fifth inning.
Brinker led off with a single before being retired as part of a 1-4-3 double play.
A walk to Schutt and a Sadler two-out single sparked a two-out rally before a fly out to center field left a pair of Bearcats stranded on the base paths.
Eldringhoff and Humphrey recorded consecutive singles in the top of the sixth inning before three consecutive outs also left them stranded.
Koch took the loss pitching two and a third innings allowing three runs on one hit and three walks to go with three strikeouts.
Ogroski finished the game pitching three and two-thirds inning of relief allowing an unearned run on two hits to go with five strikeouts.
